Frieda "Faye" (Rawson) Hampton

Frieda “Faye” Hampton, age 87, of North Branch, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at McLaren Lapeer Region with her family by her side.  Faye was born in Salcedo, Missouri, the daughter of George and Mary (Saunders) Rawson. Faye grew up in Missouri and later moved to Michigan with her husband, Eugene Hampton to raise their family. Faye owned and managed Five Lakes Grocery for over 40 years.  She enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Pam (James) Czaplicki, her son, Gary Hampton, her grandchildren, Brandon (Jill) Edwards, Andrea (Paul) Edwards Watroba, Charles (Candice) Sharp, Adrian Hampton and Ethan Hampton, her 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, her parents, her siblings and her daughter-in-law, Sue Sharp Hampton.

Visitation for Faye will be on Monday, November 21, 2022, 11:00 A.M-1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Ronald Hutchinson will officiate. Faye will be laid to rest next to her husband at Westlawn Cemetery.
