Frederick Walter Jacobs

Frederick "Fred" Walter Jacobs, 82, 0f Brown City passed away at his home on May 27, 2025. Fred was born on February 27, 1943 in Detroit, the son of John Thomas and Olga M. (Martin) Jacobs. Fred was a Design Engineering Manager for TRW Automotive and AM General. Fred married Dolores Lecluyse on December 21, 2000. Fred was passionate about photograghy and traveling. He enjoyed being with his granchildren, fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide Motorcylce and being a member of the Lapeer Hog Chapter.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores, children, Julie (Tom) Drabek, Peter Jacobs, Jeffrey (Denise) Parrish, Jeremy Parrish, grandchildren, Barbara Anne, Karen, Jack, Amber, Jacob, great-grandchildren, Hallie, Logan, Owen, Hunter and cousins, Peter Lyon, Margo Rogers, Debbie Crocker. He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin, Tom Lyon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer Foundation.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. Father Muma will officiate.
