Frances M. Greenway, age 89, from Attica, MI, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at McLaren Lapeer Regional Hospital. Frances was born in Portageville, Missouri on December 31, 1929, the daughter of Polk and Lula Mae (Froman) Hampton. Frances was a southern gal by heart. She was married to Hugh (Benson) Greenway. She called in Hugh at dinnertime and Benson when she was upset with him. She worked at Hamil Manufacturing in Imlay City, but she loved being a homemaker. Frances was a great cook. She made the best pies and chocolate gravy and biscuits. She was very active in her church.
Frances is survived by her sons, Randy Greenway and Bruce (Mary Kay) Greenway; her grandchildren, Nathan Greenway, Nicholas Greenway, Matthew (Kelly) Greenway and Anthony (Rachelle) Greenway; her great-grandchildren, Owen, Marcie, Finn, Gabe, Griffin, Madison and Brooklyn Greenway; her sisters, Loretta (CB) Douglas, Glenda Davis and Barbara Hamilton; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh; her parents; her sister, Elizabeth Presnell; her brothers, Willard, Eugene and James Hampton.
Visitation for Frances will be on Saturday, November 23, 2019, 11:00 A.M-2:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. Pastors Chad and James Hampton will be officiating. Frances will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in North Branch.
