Filena (Tuts) A (Fricke) Kitts

Filena A. (Tuts) Kitts, 88 of North Branch, MI passed away on December 15, 2024 at McLaren Lapeer Region surrounded by her family. Filena was born October 25, 1936 in North Branch, to Laurence and Geraldine (Locklin) Fricke. She grew up in the North Branch area and graduated from North Branch High School, class of 1954. She married Thomas Kitts on August 10, 1956. Filena retired as a bus driver from North Branch Area Schools.

Filena was very active in her community and a member of the North Branch Lions Club. She enjoyed camping, golfing, bowling and crocheting.

Filena is survived by daughter Kathryn (Daniel) Rhode,  son Thomas Jr. (Kathleen), and daughter Suzanne Rogers, grandchildren-Benjamin Rhode (fiancé Sayde), Colton (Amy) Kitts, Garrett Kitts, Lauren MacNaughton, Keleigh Rogers, Andrew (Amy) Rogers and Silena (Tate) Brown,  12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter, brothers Larry (Janie) Fricke, and Stanley (Linda) Picarski, sisters Mary Grace Picarski, and Karen Farr, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Filena was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, grandaughter Jennifer MacNaughton, and sister Sandra Prezkop.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to: North Branch Lions Club.

The family will be present for visitation: Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 2pm to 8pm at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Thursday, December 19, 2024 visitation will be 10am to 11am with funeral service at 11am at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald Hutchinson officiating.

Filena will be laid to rest at Rich Township Cemetery next to her husband.
