Eva Ruth Jamison, 90 of North Branch passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Lapeer. Eva was born on May 6, 1935 in Otter Lake, the daughter of Clarence and Carol (Johnson) Acre. She spent her childhood years growing up in Otter Lake. On November 1, 1952 Eva married Eugene Jamison in Fostoria. Eva retired from Oakdale Center in Lapeer, where she was an attendant nurse. Eva enjoyed flower gardening, birdwatching, fishing, jigsaw and word search puzzles. Eva loved spending time with her family.
Eva is survived by her children, Penny Jamison, Edward (Sara) Jamison, Elwyn (Cathi) Jamison, grandchildren, Edward T (Amy) Jamison, Eric (Irina) Jamison, Nichole (Jeff) Flynn, Cheryl Comeau, Christina (Thomn) Bell, Emily (Jeremy Beechler) Jamison, 13 great-grandchildren, brothers, Bruce Acre, Fred Acre, brother-in-law, Harold (Kathy) Hodge, sister-in-law, Joann Acre, many nieces and nephews. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene, son, Robert Jamison, daughter, Patricia Jamison, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Flynn and River Jamison, brothers, Robert, Keith, Douglas, David, Eugene “Pete” Acre, and sister, Ramona Hodge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Charity of Your Choice.
The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel Martin Funeral Home, 4216 Huron Street, North Branch. On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. with funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Bruce Lawton will officiate. Eva will be laid to rest next to her husband at West Deerfield Cemetery.
