Eugene Foster Sharp, 67, of Lapeer passed away at McLaren Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025. Eugene was born in Flint, Michigan August 14th, 1957 to Cecil and Frances Sharp. Eugene was a beloved brother to seven siblings and loving life long partner to Emma Jean Jasper of Lapeer as well as friend and role model to her son, Daniel, of Lapeer, and daughter, Susan, of Caledonia. Eugene went to Southwestern high school and loved his best pal, King. Eugene was known as a very hard worker. He worked at a local tool & die factory and Goodwill in Flint during his youth and loved working around the home doing anything he could for his family and, in later years, his beloved, Emma. In his eldest years, he enjoyed scraping cars off in their living community during the winter and putting carts away at Meijer, just to help out.
Eugene is preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Frances Sharp, brother, Keith Sharp, sister, Sharon McClelland, brother-in law, Daniel McClelland, brother-in-law, Jerry Moore, and Emma’s son, Daniel Jasper. His surviving siblings include: Susan Moore of Flint, Dennis (Sue) Sharp of Grand Blanc, David Sharp (Lois Schneider) of Flint, Harold Sharp of Flint, Sandra (Robert) Lord of Flint, life long partner, Emma Jean Jasper of Lapeer, her daughter, Susan Goetz, of Caledonia, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Emma Jean Jasper.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. Deacon Peter Lynch will do prayers of committal.
