Douglas J. Bozek

 Douglas J. Bozek, age 63, of Imlay City passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home with his family at his side.  Doug was born on July 19, 1957, in Detroit, MI. He was the son of Stanley and Dorothy  (Wasielewski) Bozek.  Doug grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from East Catholic High School in 1975.  On December 26, 2003, he married the love of his life, Mildred Spivey in Lapeer, MI.  He was a truck driver, mostly driving for the fuel industry.

 Above all, Doug was a family man, his wife, daughters and grandchildren were the center of his world.  Doug was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by many family members and friends, but never forgotten.  He enjoyed gardening and BBQ’s.

Doug is survived by his wife, Mildred; his children, Melissa (Brian) Shafer, Janice (Jason) Hobbs and Jessica (Jake Montgomery)  Bozek; his grandchildren, Alyvia, Dylan, Nicholas, Meadow and Brooklyn; his siblings Donna Fortier, Carol Kaszubski, Elaine (Bill) Kraatz, Janice (Bob) Skinner, Brian (Penny) Bozek and Pamela (Steve) Russell; many nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Ashlyn Montgomery.

Per Doug’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial for Doug will be held at a later date.
