Donald B. Ottenbacher

Donald Ottenbacher, age 81, of Imlay City, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at his daughter’s home. Don was born on May 18, 1939, in Macomb County, the son of Vincent and Helen (Kluck) Ottenbacher.  Don grew up in the Richmond area. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  In 1956, Don married Donna Campau at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond, MI.  He was employed by Theut  Products. Don loved to restore and drive antique cars. He enjoyed showing them at local car shows. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his children, Jeanne (Eric Fritz) Bannon, Betty (Andy) Malburg, Ken Ottenbacher, Dan Ottenbacher and Pearl (Jeff) Moore; his son-in-law, Nate Schaller; his special friend of 19 years, Liz Trujillo Brusca; Liz’s children, Anthony, Michael and Alicia; his brother, Terry  (Martha) Ottenbacher; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his daughter, Dianne Schaller; his siblings, Joan, Vince and Bob.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the North Branch American Legion Post #457.
