Dolores Rose (Ruhlman) Griffin

Dolores Rose Griffin, age 84, of Clifford passed away at McLaren Lapeer Region on March 29, 2022,  with her family by her side. Dolores was born on August 29, 1937, in Centerline, MI, the daughter of Henry and Alvera (Grobbel) Ruhlman. The Ruhlman family moved to North Branch in 1939, where Dolores grew up on Cedar Creek Road. She attended North Branch Schools and was a 1956 graduate.

Dolores married the love of her life, John Seth Griffin, on October 11, 1958 at St. Mary’s Burnside Catholic Church. She was a member of the SS Peter & Paul Altar Society, a volunteer at the North Branch Thrift Shop and a Religious Education teacher. She enjoyed her flower beds and bird watching. She loved her family and spending time with them especially with the little ones.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Seth; her children, Cindy  (Dan) Muxlow, John (Lisa) Griffin, Mary (Lyle) Jamison, Anne Marie (Dan) Stasa, Steve (Patricia) Griffin, Robert (Karie) Griffin, Richard (Kim) Griffin, Daniel (Juanette) Griffin, Dennis (Lindsay) Griffin and James (Lynette) Griffin; her 24   grandchildren; her 26 great-grandchildren; her sister, Gertrude Steele; her brother, Joseph (Joanne) Ruhlman; many nieces and nephews; her many friends and neighbors.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 brothers and 6 sisters.

The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2022, 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Friday, April 1, 2022, visitation will be at 1:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. with rosary at 4:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch. Rev. Sama Muma will be officiating.  Dolores will be laid to rest at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
