Dennis J. Pastor

Dennis J. Pastor, 80, of North Branch passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. Dennis was born on January 8, 1944, in Highland Park, MI, the son of Louis and Doris (Ferguson) Pastor. He grew up in the Cass City, Melvin and Lapeer area. Dennis retired from General Motors.  Dennis was happily married to Anita Minkstein for 35 years until her death in 2021.

Dennis enjoyed football, fishing, NASCAR and hunting, especially bear hunting. He just got his second bear in two years. He loved his many family pets throughout the years including his yellow lab, Molly.

Dennis is survived by his daughters, Jeanette (Clair) Dotzler, Jacqueline (Roger) Louks, Diana Pastor, Suzanne (Marc) Summersett, Patricia (Jeff) O’Dell, Anita’s sons, Lance (Dana) Walker, Zane (Tracey) Walker, Ty  Walker, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren plus one due any day, sister, Narice (Robert) Gibson, sisters-in-law, Jeannie Stevenson, Pam (Les) Frampton, nieces, nephews and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita, his parents, brother, Roger Pastor, brother-in-law, Jim Stevenson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or American Cancer Society.

In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, cremation was entrusted to Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery.
