Denielle "Dee" C Strassburg

Denielle “Dee” C Strassburg, age 71 of North Branch passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at home.   Denielle was born December 21, 1953, to the late Joseph and Geraldine (Blonde) Wilzek in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.  Denielle grew up in the little town of Meade and graduated from New Haven High School.  She married Timothy Strassburg on August 6, 2005, in Richmond, Michigan.

Denielle wore many hats throughout her lifetime.  Through the years, she worked at Ford Motor Company, was a stay-at-home mom, a cook and custodian for North Branch Area Schools, and a prototype sewer for Takata and TRW/ZF.  Denielle owned and operated D’s Embroidery where she embroidered many of the varsity jackets worn by students throughout Lapeer County. 

Denielle was the biggest supporter of her kids and grandkids.  No matter whether it was a cheerleading event, cattle show, wrestling match, horse show, soccer game, or play production, she was there being their biggest cheerleader.  Always making sure no one went hungry by bringing lots of snacks and her famous cookies. 

Denielle was an animal lover from a young age.  Growing up, her family always had different pets around.  Denielle owned many dogs, cats, horses, and other animals through the years.  In her retirement, she enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife that came to her feeders.  Denielle dog sat many of her friends’ dogs over the years.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Timothy; children: Tara (Steven) Eldridge of Allenton, Travis Schramm of North Branch, and Trey (Kristen) Schramm of Northville; her beloved grandchildren: Tyler, Olivia, and Max Eldridge; and Everett and Vivian Schramm; and her pets; Bacardi, Aspen, Scrappy and Sophie.  Denielle is also survived by many other relatives and special friends, including many four-legged ones who were lucky enough to meet her.

Denielle is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Denise Goike.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any veteran’s or animal rescue organization in Denielle’s memory as both causes were dear to her heart.

Per Denielle’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.
