Dawn Marie (Bodmer) Maitland

Dawn Marie Maitland, age 67, of North Branch, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Dawn was born on October 24, 1955 in Marlette, MI, the daughter of Kenneth and Nellie (Vandermark) Bodmer. Dawn grew up in the North Branch area and was a 1973    graduate of North Branch High School. She attended Baker College and Pontiac Business Institute.  She worked as a Pharmacy Technician until her retirement. Dawn enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and her four-legged companion, Rocky.

Dawn is survived by her daughters, Angelique (Chris Myers) Herrera and Alicia (Tricia House) Herrera, her grandchildren, Carter House and Kathryn House, her siblings, Carol Bonner, Kathy Perry, Brenda Martus, Ken (Michelle) Bodmer, her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, David Maitland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to McLaren Hospice.

Per Dawn’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial will be held for the family in the coming days.  A Celebration of Life is being planned for family and friends in the summer of 2023.
