David Boughan, 74, of North Branch, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his home. Dave was born on December 11, 1949, in Caro, MI, the son of John and Irene (Buda) Boughan. The Boughan family lived in Vassar, until Dave was about 4 years old and then moved to the Clifford Area. Dave attended North Branch Area Schools and was a 1968 graduate. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. On February 14, 1998, he married Kathy Brown. Dave was a long haul truck driver and crop farmer. After Dave left the army he got his pilot license. He enjoyed flying, boating, working on cars and trucks. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his wife, Kathy, children, Jennie (Justin Green) Sauk, David (Audra) Boughan, Michelle Sauk, Dan (Hollie) Boughan, Michael Lance (Crystal) Sauk, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother, Patrick (Doreen Wilcox) Boughan, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dave’s name may be directed to Veterans Affairs of Lapeer County.
In keeping with Dave’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. No services are being planned.
