David V. Johnson

David V. Johnson, age 74, of Silverwood passed away on October 24, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. Dave was born on September 19, 1949 in  Sellarsville, PA.,  the son of Donald and Thelma (Dodge) Johnson. Dave grew up in Port Austin and Sterling Heights. He graduated from Warren Woods High School. Dave married Therese Schmidt on March 3, 1978 in Avon Township. Dave proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War. Dave retired as a line foreman from Ford Automotive Company.

He was an outdoors man. He enjoyed hunting and going to the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the view.  He loved spending time with his family.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Therese; his children, Jennifer Weichel, Michael Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Matthew (Kelly) Johnson; his grandchildren, Joseph (Hannah), Evelyn, Emma, John, Remi, Matthew, Nathan, Levi, Lily; his siblings, Danny (Connie) Johnson, Tim (Barb) Johnson, Sharlene Smith, Mark (Cheri) Johnson, Jerrilynn Coleman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Darlene Diaz, great-granddaughter, Clover Capri.

The family will be present for visitation on Monday, October 30, 2023, 11:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. with funeral service at 3:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  Pastor Paul Rohling will be officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the North Branch American Legion Post 457.
