Darlene Louise (Wissmiller) Maison

Darlene Louise Maison, age 63, of Lapeer passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at McLaren Flint Hospital.  Darlene was born on May 22, 1960 in Tawas, MI, the daughter of Melvin and Marie (Bruman) Wissmiller.  Darlene grew up in Marlette and attended Marlette School.  Darlene was a caregiver for Visiting Angels. Darlene enjoyed cooking for her family, going to casinos and dancing. She was a social butterfly, who was friendly and loved to talk.

Darlene is survived by her children, Carrie Walker, Andrew Smith, Stefanie (James) Calvin, Stacey Jarzynka; her grandchildren, Gage, Zachary, Trevor, Samantha, Samson, Benjamin, Trent, Tara; her mother, Marie Wissmiller; her brother, Michael (Monica) Wissmiller; her special friend, Tim Stout. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Maison and her father.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family or for Masses.

A family gathering will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.  with Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Marlette. Rev. Stephen Blaxton will be officiating.
