Connie Lou (Hebberd) DeGrow

Connie Lou Degrow (Hebberd), age 69 of North Branch passed away at her home on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. Connie was born on March 13, 1952 in Lapeer, MI, the daughter of Lawrence and Harriet (Reed) Hebberd. She grew up in Silverwood, MI. Connie attended school at Rump/Dodds Country School and North Branch Area Schools. Connie attended Mr. David’s College of Cosmetology. On August 17, 1978, she married Wayne DeGrow in Lapeer, MI.Connie was a hairdresser for 20 years and later worked at North Branch Area Schools for 14 years. Connie enjoyed gardening, bowling, nature, cooking, baking and family time.

Connie is survived by her children, Holly (Jeremy) Miner of North Branch, MI, Shelly (Michael) Morey of Traverse City, MI, Lesley (Brian) Koz of Boyne City, MI, Christa (Jeff) Hudson of Boyne City, MI; her brother and sisters, Betty Czaczkowski of North Branch, MI, Carolyn (Karl) Fike of North Branch, MI ,Ronald Hebberd of Anchorage, Alaska, Donna (Clare) Howard of North Branch, MI; her grandchildren, Taylor (Kyle) Keeling, Madison Miner, Connor Morey, Kaiden Morey, Simone Koz, Camille Koz, Lauren Hudson and Lynsey Hudson; her great-grandchild, Kyrie Keeling; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her special  companion, her dog, Gabbie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne DeGrow; her parents, Lawrence and Harriet Hebberd; her brothers, Chuck Hebberd, Jim Hebberd and Tom Hebberd; her sister, Shirley Elonzae and her miniature schnauzer, Sophie.

A memorial service for Connie will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery.  Pastor Peter Damaska  will officiate.  Connie and her husband, Wayne DeGrow, who passed away in 2009, will  be inurn beside each other at the family plot at Westlawn Cemetery.
