Cecil Henry Watson, age 86, lifelong resident of North Branch, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Marlette Hospice surrounded by his family. Cecil was born on June 14, 1938, in Tuscola County, to Cecil J and Sophie (Yens) Watson.
Cecil grew up in North Branch and graduated in 1956 from North Branch High School. On December 17, 1960, he married Carolyn Rhode. He was a lifelong horseman and spent his life training and racing. When he took a break he enjoyed playing pool with his friends.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn; Daughters Arleen (Dave) Brace and Michelle Scrimger. Grandchildren David A. (Brenna) Brace, Daniel M. Brace, Shelley Kaye (Matt Wilcox) Scrimger and Great Grandson Bobby Scrimger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Son-in-law Robert Scrimger, Mother-in-law Marion Mack and Father-in-law Albert Mack.
The family will be in attendance for visitation on Monday, March 17, 2025 from: 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
Services for Cecil will be Monday, March 17, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Gates officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery with his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Marlette United Hospice Service .
