Carolyn Marie (Walters) Royce

COVID-19-Update-with the recent guidelines limits the number of people to 25 at any gathering we are asking that you consider other ways to help support the family and friends during this difficult time as an alternative to attending the visitation or funeral.

Carolyn Marie Royce, age 82 of Silverwood, MI was welcomed home by Jesus on December 7, 2020. She peacefully passed at Marlette Long Term Care with the support of United Hospice Service of Marlette. Carolyn was born on November 20, 1938 to Drucilla and Clifford Walters. She grew up in Dearborn, MI and attended Garden City High.  She was an amazing ballerina and found so much joy in dancing. Though she’d say she didn’t like to cook, she was the best around!  She also enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, spoiling her pets and most of all spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her daughters, Pamela (George) Ficht, Julie (Ken) Schutten; her son, Richard Mazzoni (Michelle); her grandchildren, Jenn, Michelle, Andrea, Jeffrey, Garrett, Levi, Suzanna, Griffin and Janie; her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Cody, Kelsey, Landan, Brady, Owen, Jackson, Kinsley and an unborn great, great granddaughter, Kendall.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Andrew Mazzoni and Frank Royce, and other dear family and friends.

Memorials may be made to Marlette Long Term Care or United Hospice Services of Marlette.

Family will be present for visitation at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home on December 11, 2020 from 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Roger Keur officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date.
