Carol Sue (Bishop) Cory, age 82 of North Branch, MI passed away on July 20, 2021, at the United Hospice Service in Marlette, MI with her loving daughters by her side. Sue was born on August 5, 1938 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Ottice and Rachel (Dunning) Bishop. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1957. Sue loved camping with her grandchildren and traveling with family and friends. Her hobbies included a love of animals, knitting, reading, and Tootsie Rolls. She was a hard worker, retired from Lapeer Regional Hospital then worked several more years at Walmart in 3 different states. Her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren were the love of her life.
Sue is survived by her sister, Sharron (Don) Moore of Sears, MI; her daughters, Faith Ann Kurdi of Mebane, NC and Rhoda Lynne Lucia of North Branch, MI; her stepson, Richard Dean Cory of Livonia, MI; her grandchildren, Adam Kurdi and Ramsey Kurdi of Charlotte, NC, Zachary (Heather) Lucia of Marlette, MI, Jacob (Rachel) Lucia of Colorado Springs, CO and Ryan (Angel) Lucia of Albion, MI; her great-grandchildren, Payton, Reagan and Rowan Lucia; her dear friends, Helen Mitchell and Linda Olsen both of Lapeer, MI. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ottice and Rachel Bishop, her son, Mark Anthony Cory and niece Melanie Ann Moore.

Visitation for Sue will be on Sunday, July 25, 2021, 12:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, North Branch, MI. Sue’s funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Peter Damaska officiating. Sue will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in North Branch, MI.
