Bridget "Nancy" Anne (O'Sullivan) DeWitte

Bridget (Nancy) Anne DeWitte, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Devonshire Retirement Village, Lapeer, Michigan. Nancy was born to Daniel and Anne O’Sullivan on September 16, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan.  Nancy was the youngest of four children and grew up in Detroit. Nancy graduated from St. David’s Catholic High School and married Bill DeWitte on July 16, 1955, together they raised seven children. The family moved to North Branch, Michigan in 1970. Nancy liked to stay busy, working many different jobs of employment.  Nancy’s favorite past time was traveling, golfing, cooking for her family and teaching a new card game to her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Bill (Cindy) DeWitte of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Mike (Dort) DeWitte of Goodrich, Dan (Annie) DeWitte of Lapeer, Bob DeWitte of Troy, Theresa (Tracy) Sohn of North Branch, John (Janine) DeWitte of North Branch, Tom (Terri) DeWitte of Waterford, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers, Fr. Daniel O’Sullivan of Troy and Eugene O’Sullivan of Philippines. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her sister, Mary Eileen Mulrenan and her grandsons, Brandon DeWitte and Jared DeWitte.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Residential Hospice.

On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, visitation will be 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 6645 Washington Street in North Branch, Michigan with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 P.M. Rev. Fr. Daniel O’Sullivan will officiate.
