Bonnie L. Sanford

Bonnie Sanford, age 68, from North Branch passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. Bonnie was born on April 11, 1954, in Marlette, the daughter of John “Jack” and Margaret (Gorde) Sanford. Bonnie grew up in the North Branch area and was a 1972 graduate of North Branch High School.  She worked in the clothing department at Wal-Mart.  Bonnie enjoyed tending to her flower garden, her vegetable garden and feeding the birds.

Bonnie is survived by her life partner of 29 years, William Jones, her son, Lee Sanford, her sisters, Martha (Duane) Misner, Kathy Freeland, Laureena Hass, Crystal (Mark) Chapin, her brothers, Glen (Cheryl) Sanford, Leonard (Cindy) Sanford, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Sanford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Visitation for Bonnie will be on Monday, April 3, 2023, 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
