Bobbie “Bob” Waggoner, 69, of Lapeer passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. Bob was born on November 28, 1955, in Detroit, the son of Ferman and Nellie Waggoner. Bob grew up in the Emmett/Capac area and was a graduate of Capac High School. He retired as plant manager from Johnson Controls. He also owned and operated Tawas Motel. Bob loved watching any sporting event on the television.
Bob is survived by his son, Josh Waggoner, daughter, Jamie Rush, granddaughters, Mikayla and Autumn, brothers, Henry (Marla) Waggoner, Willard Waggoner, and caregiver and forever friend, Janet Waggoner. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ora Hunt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Karmanos Cancer Center of Lapeer or a charity of your choice.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at West Deerfield Cemetery at a later date.
