Blanche Anna Swoish, age 90, of North Branch, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. Blanche was born on February 14, 1930, the daughter of Roy and Catherine (Miller) Reynolds Sr. She was a 1948 graduate of North Branch High School. On January 19, 1952 Blanche married Clarence Swoish at St. Mary’s Burnside Catholic Church.
Blanche was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her garden, tending to her flower beds and cooking. She was the right hand man when it came to working on the farm. Blanche was a member of St. Mary’s Altar Society. Blanche volunteered at the North Branch Thrift Shop. She was one of long time dedicated volunteers who put in countless hours servicing the needs of the community.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Judy Stalker; her sons, Al (Linda) Swoish and Gary (Jane) Swoish; her 15 grandchildren; her 25 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Betty (Larry) Coates and Shirley (David) Bates; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; her son-in –law, Lou Stalker; her sister Catherine (Paul) Robinet and her brother, Roy (Marie) Reynolds Jr.
Memorials in Blanche’s name may be directed to Catholic Relief Services, North Branch Thrift Shop or United Hospice Service of Marlette.
The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Rosary at 2:00 P.M. On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, Blanche will lie in state 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Burnside Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Sama Muma will officiate.
Blanche will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
