Barbara (Gazda) McMillan

Barbara McMillan, 77, of Attica passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Mayville. Barb was born on August 4, 1948, in Detroit, the daughter of John and Suzanne (Shatz) Gazda. Barb grew up in the Madison Heights area. On May 2, 1970, Barb married Daniel McMillan at St. Florian Catholic Church in Hamtramck. Barb worked in the medical field as a nurse, but later was a stay at home mom raising her children. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting and casino trips. Barb loved to bake especially at Christmas time and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Barb is survived by her children, Melinda (Scott) Deming, Dan McMillan, Jeff McMillan, Patrick (Crystal) McMillan, 13 grandchildren, Jonathan, Chelsea, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Tessa, Emily, Austin, Ethan, Allie, Hailea, Natalyn, Wyatt, Curtis, 7 great grandchildren, Odin, Ace, Braxton, Waylon, Victoria, Hunter, Jesper, siblings, John (Diane) Gazda, Liz Gazda, Phil (Corrine) Gazda, Sue Gazda, sister-in-law, Zona Moore, brother-in-law, James McMillan, many cousins, nieces and nephews.       She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dan and brother-in-law, Jerry Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Diabetes Foundation.

In keeping with Barb’s wishes cremation has been entrusted to Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 2, 2026. More details will be announced at a later date.
