Barbara Jane (Haussman) Kozlowski

Barbara Kozlowski, age 82, of North Branch passed away on June 17, 2018 in McLaren Lapeer Hospital.  Barb was born on June 16, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan.  She was the daughter of Fred and Theira (Rosengart) Haussman.   She grew up in Harper Woods and graduated from Harper Woods High School in 1954.  Barb married Ronald Kozlowski on September 3, 1982 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lapeer.  Barb was a nurse for Dr. Graveau in North Branch, Lapeer Hospital, and  at  Suncrest Nursing Home .  She was a member of the Young Mother’s Club, and volunteered with her husband, Ron, for the North Branch Ambulance.   

Barb loved working in her beautiful gardens, riding her bike, and walking the Mackinaw Bridge every Labor Day.  She also enjoyed antique shopping, socializing with her friends, and spending time with her family.  Barb was survived by her husband; Ronald of North Branch, daughters; Julia Gravlin of CA, Suzanne (David) Skidmore of PA, Jan (Lauren) Roselle of CA, and Pat Daymon of FL; sons; Steve (Wendy) Gravlin of MI, Marty (Holly) Kozlowski of TX, Gary Kozlowski of MI, and Mark (Heather) Kozlowski of MI; 17 grandchildren;  many nieces, nephews, cousins. Her first great granddaughter is expected in August.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 2-8 pm at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  On Friday, June 22, 2018 Barbara will lie in state at the New Life in Christ, North Branch from 10-11 am.  The Funeral Service will follow at 11 am with Deacon Joe Schierlinger officiating.  Burial will be at the North Branch Burlington Cemetery.
