Albert "Al" Howe Obituary

 Albert “Al” Howe, age 76, of Lum passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at McLaren/Lapeer Region Hospital. Al was born on May 22, 1944 in Ballston Spa, New York.  He grew up in the New York area. Al married Kathleen Minkwic on February 16, 1985 at Sacred Heart Church in Imlay City. He proudly served in country as a member of the United States Army. He retired from General Motors as a skilled tradesman supervisor. Al and Kathy own Idle Spur Party Store in Lum, MI.  He enjoyed going fishing and hunting. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.  He loved attending their sporting events.

   

Al is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sons, Alan Howe of Davison, Daniel (Timothy Potter) Howe  of Lum, Scott (Tina) Howe of Lapeer, and Jeremy (Cindy) Howe of Lum; his grandchildren, Wyatt and Mason Howe,  Madison Howe; his sister, Wava Lavelle of Washington State; his brother, Rick (Kathy) Matrazzo of Ballston Spa, New York.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Al’s name may be directed to the Lapeer County Deputies Association, 3231 Conley Drive, Lapeer, MI 48446

 

Per family wishes cremation has taken place, A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Arcadia Township Hall, Lum, Michigan from 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M.
