Wayne Boyne, age 82 of Sandusky, formerly of Marlette, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Sanilac Medical Care Facility with his family by his side. He was born June 17, 1935 in Marlette, MI; the son of Charles and Nellie (Forbes) Boyne, Sr. Wayne grew up in the Marlette area. On July 8, 1961, he married Donna Firmingham in Lapeer. Wayne was a crop and dairy farmer most of his life. At the end of his working career he enjoyed truck driving. Wayne attended Life Song Church in Snover. Wayne loved to play cards, especially Double Solitaire. He also enjoyed BINGO, puzzles and playing pool. Wayne liked to buy and sell at the local flea markets. Mostly, Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family.
Wayne is survived by: wife, Donna; sisters, Barb Carpenter, Joyce (Don) Moore, Janice (Walter) Johnston, Mary Long and Vicky Kapaun; brothers, Warren (Lillian) Boyne Sr and Dickie (Sharron) Boyne; sisters-in- law, Wilma Prentiss, Doris Wright and Theresa Boyne; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and five brothers, Charles Boyne Jr, Evertt Boyne, Allen Boyne, Gary Boyne Sr and infant brother, Leland Boyne.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Family will be present for visitation on Monday, February 5th from 11 am to 1 pm, with the Funeral Service at 1 pm all at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Smith will officiate. Wayne will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in North Branch.
