Virginia L. (Ziebell) Sheeks

Virginia L. Sheeks, age 77, of North Branch passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at her home with her family at her side. Virginia was born on March 11, 1942 in Minnesota. She was the daughter of Richard and Orpha (Tollefson) Ziebell.  Virginia spent her childhood years in Minnesota and Iowa.  On September 1, 1963,  Virginia married the love of her life Robert Sheeks in DesMoines, Iowa.  Virginia retired from Ford Motor Co. in 2004.  She will be remembered by her love of helping everyone, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.  Virginia enjoyed taking care of her beloved animals on the farm, sewing, gardening and cooking big meals. She was overly generous to everyone and everything….she was there for everyone….

Virginia is survived by her husband, Robert;  her daughter, Kathy (Johnny) Whitaker of North Branch; her sons, Kelly Joe Sheeks of North Branch and Kory (Corrina) Sheeks of Lapeer; her sisters, Vaunnetta, Floydine and Margaret; her brothers, Richard Jr., Billy Hilton and Norm Carlson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zack and Chantel Whitaker, Chris, Catrina and Nick Sheeks, Brandon, Emily and Aleasha Sheeks, her great-grandchildren, Jacob,  Arizona and two more on the way, her friend Charlotte Bischoff and many others.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Orpha Ziebell and step-mother Pearl Ziebell; her sister, Patty and her brothers, Terry, Gary and Jerry.

Visitation for Virginia will be Saturday, July 6, 2019, 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel.
