Vickie L. (Nass) Schlaud

Vickie Lynn Schlaud, age 66, of North Branch passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019, at her home with her family by her side. Vickie was born in  Flint, MI, on September 4, 1953. She was daughter of William Donald and Marjorie Jean (Streu) Nass. Vickie grew up in the Metamora/Hadley area. She was a 1971 graduate of Lapeer West High School.

On November 12, 1971, Vickie married Gary Leo Schlaud at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch.  Vickie retired from North Branch Area Schools where she was a cook for many years.  She enjoyed the farm life, flower beds, riding horses, crocheting and playing cards. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Gary; her children, Adam Schlaud, Angela (Steven) Simecki, Jesse Schlaud and Amanda (Nolan) Grant; her grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah , Kayley, Landen , William, Allison and Kurt; her brother, Richard (DeLynn) Nass; her sisters-in-law, Eva Nass and Barb Nass and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Thomas Nass and Donald Nass.

Visitation for Vickie will be on Friday, December 27th, 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Saturday, December 28th, visitation for Vickie will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. with Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  Father Sama Muma will be officiating.
