Ronald Joe Seaman Sr, age 67, of North Branch passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home. Ron was born on September 9, 1950 in Flint, MI, the son of the late Donald and Linnie (Moses) Seaman. He grew up on Tozer Road and Barnes Lake Road, and graduated from North Branch High School in 1968.
On May 3, 1969 he married Anna Mae Schank. Ron retired from the DPW of North Branch after 30 years and he was the supervisor for over 17 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in North Branch. Ron enjoyed collecting coins, stamps, and agate rocks. He loved to go fishing and repairing outboard motors. He and Anna enjoyed traveling and sitting around a campfire at the cabin. Ron especially loved family gatherings with his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anna of 48 years; mother-in-law, Lucille Schank; daughter, Cindy (Jason) Liebler of Silverwood; sons, Ron (Tina) Seaman of Sarasota, Florida; Michael (Darlene) Seaman of Kingston and Jim (Kristie) Seaman of Marlette; sister, Kathy (Ken) Hinkle of Tennesse; brothers, Gary (Susie) Seaman of North Branch, Don (Deb) Seaman of North Branch and Rick (Rose) Seaman of Columbiaville; grandchildren, Victoria Seaman, Ian Liebler, Eli Liebler, Aiden Liebler, Keira Liebler, Conner Seaman, Hailey Seaman, Isaac Seaman, Arlayna Seaman, Caradee Seaman; many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry Seaman in 1965; and his granddaughter, Mariah Morris Seaman in 1997.
Memorials may be made to the North Branch Memorial Park or a charity of choice.
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 3 to 8 PM, and on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 1 to 8 PM at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Ron will lie in state at St. Mary’s Church from 10 am to 11 am. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, North Branch with Fr. Rich Tremel officiating. Ron will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
