Margaret Ann (Brusie) Schierlinger

Margaret Ann Schierlinger age 81, of Houston, TX (formerly of Lapeer, MI), passed away on April 21, 2017 at her home.  Margaret was born on Dec 11, 1935 in North Branch, MI.  She was the daughter of David and Elaine (Ballard) Brusie. 

 Margaret graduated from North Branch High School in 1953 and received her Associate Degree from U of M.  She loved to write and perform in stage plays.  Margaret wrote many poems, short stories and published a book.  Margaret worked for 35 years in medical bookkeeping and administration.  She enjoyed 

casino’s, playing cards, and Farkle.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Margaret was a member of the New Life in Christ Church in North Branch, MI in the summer months, and she attended Zion Lutheran Church in Pasadena, TX.

Memorials may be directed to New Life in Christ Church in North Branch.

Margaret will be missed by her husband, Oscar Albert; sons, Joseph (Mary) of North Branch, Thomas (Janet) of Houston; daughter, Wendi (Todd) Lapree of Houston; grandchildren,  Joey, Liz, Travis, Ryan, Taylor, Annie, Emily, and Austin; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Grant, Keagan, Grace, Evan, Autumn, Tyler, Allie, Brady, Winnie and one great-grandchild due this summer.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, David and Elaine Brusie (Claude Stewart); brother, David Brusie, and sister, Mary Jane Diegel.

Family will be present for visitation at 11 AM, with a Celebration of Life at 11:30 AM, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at North Branch High School Auditorium.  Deacon Joe Schierlinger will officiate.
