LEWIE WHANETTA JAMISON, 90, of North Branch passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at The Villages of Lapeer in Lapeer, Michigan. She was born August 23, 1927, in Attica, MI., to Omer and Evelyn (Maasch) Laidler. She married Glenn Jamison on April 27, 1946.

She graduated from Imlay City High School in 1945. Whanetta was a nurse's aide at Lapeer County Hospital and also worked at Oakdale Regional Center. She was a member of the North Branch Wesleyan church and Rebekahs Lodge #120.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and painting. She also spent countless hours in her flower beds and garden. Canning, jelly and jam making, and yard sales were just a few of the joys she shared with friends and family.

Whanetta is survived by sons Terry (Esther) of Davison, Glenn Jr. (Carol) of North Branch, Dale (Nancy) of Cape Coral, FL , James of Grand Rapids and brothers Norman (Betty) of Columbiaville, and Donald (Judy) of Pontiac. She is also survived by grandchildren Jennifer, Timothy, Nathan, Dale Jr., Erik, Joel, Joseph, Brittney and Todd; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn and siblings Jay, Nettie, Gordon, Roland, August and Sharon.

In keeping with her wishes, no services are being held and cremation has taken place.
