Katherine E. Beckett, age 77 of North Branch passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.  Katherine was born on October 24, 1939 in North Branch to John and Elizabeth (Robinet) Nolan.  Katherine graduated from North Branch High School in 1957.  On August 28, 1965 she married Patrick Forest Beckett in Cass City, MI.  Katherine’s faith was very important to her and she was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Katherine loved to travel and watching the freighters on the Great Lakes.  She enjoyed visiting with her family, friends and spending quality time with her grandchildren.   

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel J. Beckett of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Hailey, Brendan and Zachary; sisters, Ellen Schlaud and Rita Schlaud both of North Branch; brother, Paul (Betty) Nolan of Lewiston; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Nolan of North Branch and Louise Nolan of McBain, MI; and many loving nieces and nephews who will all miss their Aunt Kaye.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Patrick, and brothers Jack and George.

Memorials may be made to Dan Beckett.

The family will be present for visitation on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 2 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 Pm at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  The Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 Am at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in North Branch.  Katherine will be laid to rest next to her husband, Patrick at St. Agatha’s Cemetery in Gagetown, MI.
