Karen Kreiner, age 70, of North Branch passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 1, 2019. Karen was born in Brown City, Mi. on April 6, 1948
to Lawrence and Viola Young. Karen grew up in North Branch and was a
graduate of North Branch High School. Karen attended U of M in Flint.
Karen worked as a register nurse. On July 30, 1971 she married David Kreiner
at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch. Karen enjoyed camping at
Higgins Lake with her family. She loved spending time with her children and
grandchildren. Karen enjoyed watching her grandchildren at their sporting events.
Karen is survived by her husband-David, son-Joshua (Heather) Kreiner, daughters-
Sara (Bill) Racine and Laura (Jason) Burack, grandchildren-Ashley (Patrick) Beatty,
Jacob Kreiner, Ryan Addison, Brandon Kreiner, Jarett Kreiner, Alexis Racine, William Racine, Logan Burack and Taylor Burack. Karen is also survived by her brothers- Robert (Gayle) Young and Donald (Lynn) Young, sister-Mary Ann
Young. Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be directed to the United Hospice Service of Marlette, Mi.
Family will be present for visitation on Thursday, February 7th, from 2:00-
8:00 P.M. with Rosary at 3:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.
Visitation will also be on Friday, February 8th from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s
Burnside Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. with
Rev. Sama Muma officiating. Karen will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Burnside
Cemetery at a later date.
