Jill Marie (Faber) Jacobson

Jill Jacobson, age 58 of Columbiaville passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at home with her family.  Jill was born on August 8, 1959 in Royal Oak, MI, the daughter of Roy and Irene (Sturm) Faber.  Jill graduated from Troy Athens High School in 1977. On June 2, 1979 Jill married Charles Jacobson at First United Methodist Church in Pontiac.   Jill received her business degree from O.C.C. After raising her boys she attended The University of Michigan and received her teaching degree in 1995.  Jill taught at Lapeer East for 20 years, where she also served as a mentor for The National Honor Society. Jill also earned 2 Master degrees from Marygrove College as part of her continuing education.  She was a proud member of the M.E.A. as well as a North Branch Athletic Booster and was involved with the North Branch Summer Recreation Baseball League. She enjoyed biking and spending time at her second home in Florida.  Jill is survived by her husband Charles and their four sons; Christopher (Jessica) of Florida, Adam (Mary Beth), Matthew and Daniel all of North Branch; sisters, Lynn (Bill) Markoff of Rochester, Val (Doug) Graham; brothers, Brad (Vicky) Faber of Owosso and Randy (Patti) Faber of Montana; grandchildren; Macie, Mckenzie, Katherine, and Benjamin, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joanne. 

There will be a gathering on Saturday, February 17, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church from 10 AM to 12 PM with the Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 PM.  Father Mark Prill will officiate. 

In Lieu of flowers, Jill requested memorials go towards her Grandchildren’s College Fund,
