Janet McLeod, age 82, a lifelong resident of North Branch and Silverwood area passed away on October 28, 2017 at McLaren Lapeer Region with her family by her side.  On August 11, 1951 she married Henry McLeod, they were happily married for 66 years.

Janet retired from North Branch High School as a cook.  Janet was a very spiritual woman and was a member of the Kingston Wesleyan Church.  She enjoyed working in her flower beds, crafting, cooking and she greatly enjoyed her family, especially the holidays. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Henry; sons, Dan (Robyn), Barry (Denise), Calvin (Nancy) and Tim; grandchildren, Casey (Adam), Ryan (Nina), Jeremiah (Amy), Justin (Brenda), Holly (Alex), Travis (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Mallory, Leland, Grace, Ty, Ethan, Waylon, Leah, and one great-grandchild due in April; sisters, Pauline, and Barbara; brothers, Delbert, Roland and Leroy; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janene in 2010; sisters, Geraldine, Donna, Winifred; brothers, Waynard, Junior Lee, Stanley, and Norman.

The family suggest memorials be made to the Kingston Wesleyan Church.

The family will be present for visitation on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 PM all at the Kingston Wesleyan Church.  Pastor Len Wyatt will officiate.  The burial will be at 3:30 PM at Rich Cemetery next to her daughter, Janene. The family would like to give a special thank you to Roger and Mary Barnes.
