Glenn Francis Bader

Glenn Bader of North Branch, age 89, passed away on December 14, 2018 at Covenant Health, Saginaw, MI.  Glenn was born December 13, 1929 on the family farm in North Branch, the son of Harold and Grace (Kreiner) Bader.  Glenn graduated from North Branch High School in 1948. 

On April 21, 1956 Glenn married Vivian Robbins at St. Mary’s Burnside Church.  Glenn was the first baby to be baptized in the new St. Mary’s Church.  

Glenn enjoyed farming and he helped his father milk the dairy cows on the family farm.  He enjoyed his team of horses and working the team in the fields.   Glenn worked at Chaso Ryco for 4 years before he worked for Orr’s Lumber Yard for many years.  Glenn delivered their supplies to families in the area.  He enjoyed woodworking and sharpening chain saws.  Glen especially loved his family and grandchildren.

Glenn is survived by his wife Vivian; sons;  Al (Renae) Bader, of North Branch, daughter Teresa Bader of Lapeer and Tom (Valadene) Bader of North Branch; grandchildren; Angela, Melissa, Samantha, Felicia, Jonathan, Cody, and Hannah; Great-grandchildren; Sierra, Chenoa, Emma, and Lincoln; sister Darlene Hamlin of Romeo, brothers; Gerald (Dolores) Bader, Kenneth (Linda), Bader. Ronald (Mary Lou) Bader all of North Branch, and sister-in-law Mary Ann Bader of Lapeer and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, sister and husband Mary and Bernard Kohler, brother Bernard, infant brothers Robert and Leslie and brother-in-law Duaine Hamlin. 

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Church.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 3 to 8 PM at 4:30 PM the Divine Mercy will be recited all at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  On Monday, December 17, 2018 Glenn will lie in state from 10 to 11 AM with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am both at St. Mary’s Burnside Church.  Glenn will be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Father Richard Treml will officiate.
