George Vernon Bennett

George V. Bennett, age 78, of North Branch passed away on October 18, 2017 at McLaren Lapeer Region.  George was born on June 27, 1939.  On May 19, 1970 he married Christine Locricchio. 

George enjoyed his home and took pride in grooming his lawn and working on cars.  He was a big Tiger Fan and he loved to listen to country music, especially Johnny Cash. 

George is survived by his wife, Christine; daughters, Sheila (Joel) Neils of Milford, Jeannie Ahearne of Pennsylvania, and Christine Bennett of North Branch; sisters, Shirley (Frank) Hundertmark of Shelby Twp., and Arlene Jones of Alabama; brothers, Paul (Susan) Bennett of Ironwood, MI, and Ron (Carole) Morgan of Davisburg, MI; 6 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

George was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clifford Morgan; and sister, Virginia Thomas.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with the  funeral bill.

A private service will be held at a later date.
