Franklin "Frank" J. Richard

Frank J. Richard, age 80 of North Branch passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Frank was born on November 25, 1938 , at the family farm on Old State Road. He was the son of Roy L. and Cora (Cooley) Richard. Frank grew up in the North Branch Area and attended North Branch School.

On February 8, 1964, he married Ruth Nagy at the Fairgrove Methodist Church. He proudly served his country in Army-National Guard.  Frank retired 45 years from General Motors and he loved to farm.  Frank enjoyed repairing tractors. After his retirement, Frank and Ruth were worldwide travelers, visiting at least 27 countries around the world.  They took numerous trips on a train touring the USA.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; his children, Frank J. Richard,

twins, Francine (Robert) Ignasiak & Frances (Michael) Stites, and Rebecca Richard; his sisters, Dr. Marilyn Boehm (John) Neeley and Carol Lyons; his grandchildren, David Stites, Rachael Stites and Hannah Stites.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Ellen Fisher and Janet Harger.

Memorials may be directed to the North Branch Township Library in Frank’s memory

Visitation for Frank will be Monday, November 4, 2019, 11:00 A.M-

2:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel with funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Ronald Hutchinson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in North Branch.
