Frances M (McGinnis) Wilson

Frances Wilson, age 98 lifelong resident of North Branch passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at her home in the loving care of her family.  Frances was born March 16, 1919, the daughter of Edward and Edith (Flansburg) McGinnis.  On February 22, 1938 she married Spencer E. Wilson.

Frances graduated from North Branch High School in 1936.  She continued her education at Mott Community College where she received her Associate Degree in nursing in 1972.  Frances was a nurse at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility after many years of service.  Frances was a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to the North Branch High School Alumni every year when her health was good.  Frances also enjoyed reading, gardening, crosswords, knitting, and traveling with Spencer.  She especially liked to spend time with her family and grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Jane (Gene) Stevens of North Branch and Patricia Wilson of Shelby Twp.; son, Spencer (Pat) Wilson of Dryden; grandchildren, Lisa (Larry) Clarkson, Lori (Dan) Adamic, Christopher (Julie) Wilson and Steven (Julia) Wilson;7  great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Spencer; and 2 sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Heartland Hospice, Mass cards to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or the St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital Cardiac Unit.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
