David C. Botkins

David C. Botkins, age 64, of Fostoria passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2019   David was born in Rochester, Mi. on  April 5. 1955, the son of Cecil Rouche and Lillian Mae (Frisk) Botkins. David grew up in the Rochester area and graduated from St. John’s Lutheran School.

On May 14, 1975, he married Dawn Marie Nieman in Troy. Mi. They were best friends for 46 years and happily married for 44 years.

In David's younger years he worked as a plumber alongside his father, later he worked as a quality technician for the automotive industry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a big Red Wing fan and enjoyed watching their games.  David  spent time working in his garden and growing giant pumpkins. He loved all the time he spent with his grandchildren.

David is survived by his loving wife, Dawn; his daughter, Kimberly (Brett) Stokes; his son David (Danyell) Botkins; his grandchildren, Tyler, Lexi, Gabriel, Mina, Treasure, Levi, Logan, Madeline and Olivia. David had amazing loving grandchildren who loved Grampa very much, he will always be loved and remembered forever. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lynn, his Uncle Melvin and his chocolate lab, Cassie.

Visitation for David will be on Saturday, November 2, 2019, 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel. His funeral service will follow at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Kay  Leitelt officiating.
