Curtis Duane Hollingshead

Curtis D. Hollingshead, age 33 of Davison (formerly of North Branch) passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center from an accident.  Curtis was born June 25, 1984, the son of Duane and Virginia (Ream) Hollingshead.  Curtis graduated from North Branch High School in 2003.

Curtis was working in construction for Ric-Man Construction Company.  Prior to that Curtis was installing wood floors for several years.  He was a member of the Detroit Laborers Union Local 1191.  Curtis loved spending time outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

Curtis is survived by his parents, Duane Hollingshead of Lapeer, and Virginia (Lee) Werth of North Branch; grandmother, Carol Hollingshead of Germfask; sisters, Amy Hollingshead of Dryden and Jamie Soit of North Branch; brother, Douglas Johnston of Davison; a niece and a nephew; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins, and friends who were like family, and a very special black lab, Sissy.

Curtis was preceded in death by his grandmothers, June (Ream) Lescher, and Bev Ream; grandfathers, Mervin Hollingshead and James Ream; and uncle Terry Ream.

The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 12 to 8 pm at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 10 to 11 am at the North Branch Wesleyan Church.  The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at North Branch Wesleyan Church.  Pastor Peter Damaska will officiate.  Curtis will  be buried at the Deerfield Cemetery.
