Allen "Alfie" L. Haack

Allen  “Alfie” L. Haack, age 68, of North Branch passed away on June 7, 2019 peacefully at home. Al was born on August 13, 1950, the son of William and Ruth (Payne) Haack.  Al grew up in North Branch and was a 1968 graduate of North Branch High School. Al married the love of his life Nancy Chatters on June 26, 1976.  He retired from GM in 2000 after 30 years of service.  Al loved his dog Sadie.  He enjoyed golfing, deer hunting, playing cards, especially Texas Hold-em and spending time with his family at the cabin in Mio.

Al is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Brian) Fike of Lapeer; son, Roy Carrasco of Columbiaville; grandsons, Ethan and Chase Fike and sister, Ruthann (Ken) Johnson of North Branch. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy and his brother, Bill.

Memorials in Al’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

Visitation for Al will be on Monday, June 10, 2019, 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel. On Tuesday, June 11, 2019, visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. with funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Blackburn Chapel. Rev. Ronald Hutchinson and Matthew Johnson will be officiating.  Al will be laid to rest next to Nancy at Westlawn Cemetery in North Branch.
