Alan Glenn Bader

Alan “Al” Bader, age 62, of North Branch passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at home with his family by his side. Al was born on January 27, 1957 in Marlette, MI.  He was the son of Glenn and Vivian (Robbins) Bader. He grew up in North Branch and graduated from North Branch High School in 1975. On January 22, 1993, he married Renae Jankowski.  Al was a very hard worker and he drove truck for over 40 years, while recently being employed by Homer Transportation. 

Al loved hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.  Al was a big fan of NASCAR racing, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Al is survived by: his wife, Renae; his children, Cody Bader and Hannah Bader; his mother, Vivian Bader and in-laws, Edward and Carole Jankowski;  his siblings; Teresa Bader, and Tom (Val) Bader; his in-laws, Kelly and Craig Reed, Ted and Lynn Jankowski, Ann and Mike Joseph, John and Carrie Jankowski, Mary Jo and Todd Tanner, and Michelle and Dean Noble; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Al was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Bader.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to McLaren Hospice of Davison or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 2 to 8 PM with a Divine Mercy  at 4:00 Pm All at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  On Wednesday, August 21, 2019 Al will lie in state from 10 to 11 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burnside.  The Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Rich Treml officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
