Adelia "Lily" H. (Hinojosa) Aleman

Adelia “Lily” Aleman, age 74, of North Branch went to be with her King, Jesus, on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Rochester, MI with her family by her side. Lily was born on August 19, 1945 in Taft, Texas, the daughter of Isaac and Otilia (Gonzales) Hinojosa.  Lily grew up in Croswell, MI, there she met Leno the love of her life. On November 20, 1965 , Lily married Magdaleno (Leno)  Aleman at St. Patrick’s Church in Croswell, MI.  

Lily loved her flowers. She was known as the “Flower Lady.”  Her backyard was like the “Garden of Eden” with flowers blooming all summer long. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting.  Lily loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Lily was a very loyal and faithful Christ follower.

 Lily is survived by her husband, Leno; her daughters, Connie (Dale) Nellenbach and Sylvia Lewis; her son, Leonard (Rosalba) Aleman; her grandchildren, Brianna Delia Hawes, Kristofer William Lewis, Selena Dalia Nellenbach and Jacob Leno Nellenbach; her siblings, Dorothy (Andy) Vasquez, Ramona Mendoza, John (Amelia) Hinojosa, Juana  (Gil) Rodriguez, Joe “Pache” Hinojosa, Maggie (Mike) Walther, Santos Morales, Lupita Rodriguez and Susie “Chune” Ortega; many nieces and nephews.

Lily was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, David Aleman; her siblings Isaac “Lupe” Hinojosa, Ben Hinojosa, Rosa Rodriguez and Maria Delgado.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Family will be present for visitation on Sunday, December 22, 2019, 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Monday, December 23, 2019, visitation will be 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. with funeral service for Lily at 1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Krist officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
