Marion Mack Obituary

Marion Mack, 100, of North Branch passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital. Marion was born on May 31, 1923 in Arcadia Township, the daughter of John and Bertha (Fischer) Schwerin. Marion grew up in the Kings Mill area and attended Kings Mill School.  She was married to Albert T. Mack until his death in 1995. Marion worked at General Motors, where she retired from after 30 years. Marion enjoyed working in her yard taking care of her flowers, cooking and baking for her family, riding snow mobiles and dirt bikes, playing euchre and going gambling with the family. On her 100th birthday she took her first motorcycle ride on a Harley with her nephew.

Marion is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Cecil) Watson, Janet  Norris, grandchildren, Arleen (Dave) Brace, Michelle Scrimger, Rick (Candy) Norris, Rual M. Norris,  Rual Scott Norris, David (Brenna Corby) Brace, Shelley Kay (Matt Wilcox) Scrimger, Daniel Brace, Skye (Nick Hartley) Norris, Brail Norris, Bobby Scrimger, her brother, Johnny Schwerin, her brother-in-law, George Mack,  her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her grandson-in-law, Robert V. Scrimger, her parents, her brothers, Melvin, Walter, Clarence, Ralph, her sisters, Anabelle Conner, Lillian Fenslau, Helen Hagemeister, Madeline Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital.

The family would like to thank the staff of the United Hospice Service for the wonderful care Mom had there, including Michelle McDonald plus her home care giver, Amanda Burgess and special fried Louanne Richmond.

The family will be present for visitation on Monday, April 29, 2024, 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service. Marion will be laid to rest next to her husband at Westlawn Cemetery.
