Stanley Walter Pachla, Sr.

Stanley W. Pachla, Sr., age 99, of Clifford passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Stanley was born August 18, 1918 to the late Valentino and Catherina (Gwarda) Pachla in Russelton, PA. Stanley grew up and attended school in Detroit. After high school, he went on to complete business college. On November 8, 1951, he married Corine Griffith at St. Elizabeth in Marlette, MI. Stanley was a material and purchasing manager for Bendix Inc. in Marlette. Stanley was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church; including the Men’s Club.  He was also active in the community of Clifford. He was the Clifford Village President and was on the Planning Commission. Stanley enjoyed bowling and golfing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Stanley is survived by: his wife, Corine; children, Barbara Pachla and husband Bill Martin of Colorado and Richard and Connie Pachla of Cass City; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen, brother Walter and son Stanley Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice.

Family will be present for visitation on Friday, December 29th from 4 PM to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Stanley will lie in state on Saturday, December 30th from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. Patrick Church in Clifford. Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Saturday with Father Richard Treml officiating. Stanley will be laid to rest in St. Patrick Cemetery.
