Roger Dale Fike

Roger Fike, age 66 of North Branch passed away at his home after a long battle with A.L.S. surrounded by his family.  Roger was born September 5, 1950 in Clifford, MI, to Roy and Alice (Thompson) Fike.  Roger grew up in the Kings Mill and North Branch area.  He graduated from North Branch High School.  On April 19, 2002 he married Lynne McAllister.  Roger retired from GM after 37 years of service as a die maker. 

Roger loved to restore engines and antique tractors.  He enjoyed going to his cabin in the Upper Peninsula.  Roger like to hunt and fish.  He was very fond of his beloved dog, Red who died 2 months ago.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Roger is survived by his wife, Lynne; mother, Alice, and mother-in-law, Madaline McAllister; sons, Justin (Keelie) Fike of Wyoming and Lee Poe of Lewiston;; grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb Fike; sisters, Bonnie Hanna of North Branch, Sue (Ken) Schneider of Mayville, and Denise Thompson of Grand Rapids; brothers, Alan (Pat) Fike of Woodhaven, Randy (Virginia Zuhlke) Fike of North Branch, Terry (Janet) Fike of North Branch, and Dennis (Barb) Fike of North Branch; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Roy Fike.

Memorials may be made to the Hometown Hospice and A.L.S. of Michigan.

There will be a gathering for Roger on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with the Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  Pastor Lawrence Kluck will officiate.
