Max Wilbur Prentiss

Max Prentiss, age 81, of Brown City passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the United Hospice Service of Marlette Region Hospital.  Max was born April 12, 1935 in Brown City, Michigan, the son of John and Mary (Lynch) Prentiss.  Max graduated from Brown City High School.  On August 18, 1980 he married Wilma Firmingham.  He was a lifelong dairy farmer.  Max enjoyed bowling, woodworking, watching western shows on TV, playing bowling on the WII, and going to church at the North Branch First Baptist Church.

Max is survived by his wife, Wilma; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Max was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Marlette United Hospice Service.

The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM at Blackburn Chapel –Martin Funeral Home.  On Thursday, February 23, 2017 Max will lie in state from 10 to 11 AM at the North Branch First Baptist Church, North Branch.  The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM.  Max will be buried at the North Branch Greenwood Cemetery.  Pastor Jim McQuarrie will officiate.
