Lee Schleicher

Lee Schleicher, age 70, of Ypsilanti (formerly of North Branch) passed away at his home Thursday, November 17, 2016. Lee was born on January 15, 1946 in Oceanside, California to the late Leo and Kathryn (Hook) Schleicher. In 1968, Lee married Kathleen Mead in Dearborn, MI. She preceded him in death in 1993. In 2004, he married Donna (Peplinski) Driskell. 
Lee was an educator for more than 41 years, first as a teacher and principal at North Branch High School, then as Dean of WTMC in Ann Arbor. Lee enjoyed traveling, photography, target practice, and cheering for the MSU Spartans. Lee looked forward to adventures with his family and relished being Grandpa to Lydia, Austen, Conner, Autumn, and Lincoln.
Lee is survived by his loving wife Donna; children: Leah Schleicher, Robert Schleicher, James (Rebecca) Schleicher, Todd (Jillian) Driskell, Troy (Lindsey) Driskell, and Lisa (Kevin Sieh) Driskell; sister, Sue (Dennis) Shoemaker; brother, Garry (Peggy) Schleicher; mother-in-law, Betty McInally; 10 brothers-in-law; 6 sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to The Hope Clinic (www.thehopeclinic.org), where Lee and Donna volunteered in the soup kitchen. 
The family will be present at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home for visitation on Saturday, November 19 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm with a Rosary at 3:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Sunday, November 20 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 11:00 am, Monday, November 21, preceded by viewing at 10:00 am in the church.
